Kirtland Hills
Kirtland Hills is a community just south of downtown Ann Arbor off West Ellsworth Road. Construction began in 2006 by Peters Building Company and continued all the way into 2014. There are 60 homes in this quiet community and most are 2-story floor plans with a few ranch-style homes mixed in that range from 1,788-3,066 sq. ft. The original homes are customized to fit the owners’ tastes, which lessened the cookie-cutter design feel. Most of the homes in Kirtland Hills back up to wooded and nature areas that include walking trails and a play area for families with kids. Streets are also fully paved with sidewalks. All of the homes in this community have attached garages, laundry rooms, high ceilings, decks/patios, and in-ground sprinklers. The neighborhood is in Pittsfield Township and allows for quick access to major freeways I-94 and US-23. Being close to downtown Ann Arbor, you’ll also find stores like Costco, Target, Meijer, Whole Foods, and Briarwood Mall. For restaurants, there’s an Olive Garden in the same shopping area near Briarwood. You’ll also be just minutes from the University of Michigan’s main campus where you can enjoy the college’s arts and cultural activities along with football games at The Big House, which the university is famous for. Residents can enjoy Pittsfield Township taxes and students are zoned to top Ann Arbor Schools: Bryant-Pattengill Elementary, Tappan Middle School, and Pioneer High School.
