Lansdowne
Lansdowne is a classic neighborhood with established homes in south Ann Arbor. Mature landscaping and spacious lots allow for added privacy and the architectural variety in the community lends itself to multiple home styles: ranch, bi-level, tri-level contemporary, and two-story colonials. Construction in the neighborhood began in 1963 and continued until 1987 by George Airey and floor plans range from 1,461-3,205 sq. ft. Homes feature 3-5 bedrooms, 1.5-4 bathrooms, and most have full or partial basements and multi-car garages. Many of the homes in this neighborhood have been updated with modern amenities, but the original construction is still present through its hardwood floors and other foundational features. Not only will you be close to Ann Arbor shopping, dining, and other conveniences around Briarwood Mall: Target, Whole Foods, and Busch’s Fresh Food Market to the east of the neighborhood. U of M fans will be just four minutes to Michigan Stadium by car for tailgating on game days or other University of Michigan campus activities. Lansdowne also offers a 2.6-acre park, aptly named Lansdowne, and features a children’s playground, picnic areas, basketball courts, and a soccer field, plus the neighborhood has fully paved streets and sidewalks. Homeowners pay Ann Arbor taxes and students are zoned to Ann Arbor Public Schools: Lawton Elementary School (walking distance), Slauson Middle School, and Pioneer High School (also within walking distance).
