Orchard Place
Orchard Place is a somewhat secluded community of homes in northeast Ann Arbor, popular due to its proximity to natural beauty. It’s surrounded by parks, trails, and nature preserves, and is a perfect spot for the outdoor lover. Homes are diverse and offer open floor plans that range from 2,200-2,800 sq. ft. with construction that started in the 1990s. Many homes have been upgraded to reflect modern and popular home design trends of today. Sidewalks wind throughout the neighborhood if you want to go out and get some fresh air without leaving the community. To the west is Pontiac Trail and to the east is Black Pond Woods Nature Area, a 34-acre woodland area with walking trails and a picnic area where you can take in all its beauty, relax, and unwind after a stressful day. You’ll be able to walk to the Huron River and Argo Nature Area, where you’ll find docks for boating and canoeing, plus swimming and tubing. Right next door is Leslie Science and Nature Center and Leslie Park Golf Course if you’d like to practice your swing. If you’re looking for entertainment options, you’ll be just minutes to popular Kerrytown with its plentiful shops and eateries along with downtown Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan campus, its coinciding medical center, Nichols Arboretum, and the university’s art museum for an afternoon of beauty and culture. Students are zoned to Ann Arbor Schools: Northside Elementary School, Clague Middle School, and Skyline High School. If you’re looking for a private neighborhood that is steeped in nature, yet close to everything downtown Ann Arbor has to offer, Orchard Place is the perfect spot to find a new home.
